Deer Creek State Park, UT

Deer Creek State Park campgrounds are closed for the season beginning October 15. Primitive camping is available in the tent camping area near the main boat ramp. Seasonal day-use fees are $5 and camping is $8. For more information, please call (435) 654-0171.

Deer Creek State Park lies in the southwest corner of beautiful Heber Valley and consistently provides some of Utah's finest year-round fishing. Predictable canyon winds make Deer Creek extremely popular for boating, wind surfing, sunbathing, swimming and sailboating.

East Canyon State Park, UT
Beginning October 15, only primitive facilities are available at East Canyon State Park. All water is off, and restrooms and the fish cleaning station are closed. The boat ramp is open with adequate water for boat launching. Courtesy docks remain on the lake, but will be removed by the end of October or early November. Big Rock and River's Edge campgrounds on the south end of the park are closed for the season. Seasonal day-use fees are $5 and camping fees are $8. For more information, please call (801) 829-6866.

East Canyon State Park is a 680-acre boating and year-round fishing delight nestled in the mountains northeast of Salt Lake City. Although popular with water recreationists, East Canyon is also an attraction for history buffs. Nearby trails mark the steps of the Donner Party and the first Mormon settlers.

Jordanelle State Park, UT
Jordanelle State Park is located in a picturesque mountain setting near Heber City. The park offers an array of recreation opportunities near the Wasatch Front. Camping, boating, swimming, fishing, and hiking are some of the activities to do at this very popular park. The park offers two recreation areas, Hailstone and Rock Cliff.

Hailstone is a large developed campground and day-use area on the west side of the reservoir, and is a favorite location of boaters and RV campers. Rock Cliff Nature Center, nestled in the tall cottonwoods on the Upper Provo River, offers visitors a quieter experience.
Jordanelle Marina offers boat rentals and other recreation items to complete your trip. Visit www.jordanelle.com or call (435) 655-9919.

Rockport State Park, UT
Rockport State Park is a quick 45-minute drive from Salt Lake City and features first-rate fishing, waterskiing, swimming, sailboarding and sailboating. Surrounded by juniper trees, sagebrush, willows, and cottonwoods, Rockport Reservoir is a great stop for the day, or a weekend trip. Rockport's mountain setting offers something for every visitor.

Wasatch Mountain State Park, UT

Wasatch Mountain State Park, in beautiful Heber Valley, is Utah's most developed state park. Tucked away in the beautiful Wasatch Mountains, the park is both a summer and winter destination. One of Utah's finest and affordable 36-hole golf courses is found here. Another 36 holes are currently under construction at the Soldier Hollow Golf Course located at the southern end of the park, with expected completion in spring 2004.

Soldier Hollow at Wasatch Mountain State Park was the 2002 Olympic Winter venue biathlon and cross-country events. Soldier Hollow is open year-round to the public for cross-country skiing, tubing, snowshoeing, biathlon, and many more events.
