About Bumbershoot Festival One of America's most exciting arts festivals. Each summer since 1970 musicians, poets, actors, writers, dancers, filmmakers and acrobats from all over the world have gathered in Seattle for an end of summer four day explosion of legendary entertainment. Last year was Bumbershoot's 30th birthday and the line-up included Tracy Chapman, Sugar Ray, Ben Harper, Sandra Bernhard, Maceo Parker, Ani DiFranco and Compay Segundo of Buena Vista Social Club fame.
