Target Center opened it doors on October 13, 1990 at the cost of approximately $104,000,000. Target Center took 27 months to build. Target Center's management was acquired by SFX Entertainment on September 22, 2000. SFX Entertainment was sold to Clear Channel Entertainment in early 2001 Target Center was sold by original owners Marv Wolfenson and Harvey Raftner to the City of Minneapolis in March, 1995.
