About the Philips Arena The building of a new arena on the site of the demolished Omni will have a ripple effect on downtown, stretching several blocks away. Unlike the Omni, this arena's grand entrance on Techwood Drive will be at street level, inviting the public inside the "Atlanta" archway. It's just one example of how the building has been designed to fit in with the streetscape and welcome pedestrians. You could even change the name of Techwood Drive to Techwood Walk. . . . .more |
